Things I’m going to miss about Belgrade
Living across the street from Republic Square.
The view of the Prince Mihailo statue against the backdrop of the the National Museum.
The colors of the sunset against the green turret on top of the National Museum.
Finding something unexpectedly beautiful every time I walk the streets.
The “grayscale” of most of the buildings.
Kalemegdan park. I felt like I was taking a step back in time every time I went.
Quiet afternoons at Kafeterija spent writing.
The walk to Kafeterija.
The coffee at BaristoCratia.
The people and their direct nature.
The killer pharmacy next to the Maxi (particularly after the pharmacy drought in Valencia).
The reruns playing at Star Fitness. See Living and working post.
The salsa dancing. See Living and working post.
The glorious nights sleep I got. Every. Night. See Living and working post.
The feeling of coming home when I returned to Belgrade after two weeks in Greece.
Things I won’t miss about Belgrade
The streets. Cobblestone or concrete, they always required an alert eye for some sort of variation.
The smoking.
